"Put on a Good Face", acrylic on wood panel, 2021, 24x30 inches

I painted this in a surrealist fashion, meaning that I did not plan much except the basic composition, and I allowed my subconscious to express itself in the faces. The title is my interpretation. The landscape in the background is meant to be reminiscent of those seen in Renaissance era portraits, which I complimented with a museum quality double frame that is as deep as it is wide.
