I received the inspiration for this painting at the same time that I first repented and decided to become a Christian (depicted in Didymus), and then I created it over the next year as I was learning and growing in my faith. Based on the famous drawing of praying hands by Albrecht Dürer, the background is filled with Christian imagery to create the glow of light. Being confident and regular in my prayer life is one of many things that changed upon giving my life to the Lord.

"do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God." Philippians 4:6
