"Squeeze" acrylic on wood panel, 2022, 36x60 inches

This painting was inspired by mathematics, and wanting to have each row of faces with more lines per face than the last row, and to have the left faces and right faces pointing opposite directions. I also wanted to get a nice smooth gradient of color vertically, with a cool/warm thing happening left to right. I sometimes focus on these abstract principles so that the underlying meaning is not so intentional, and it's up to viewers to meditate on it.

This is painted on a solid wood panel that is mounted to a deep cradle board that I have painted brown to match.
